In December 2009 Mission Providence facilitated another care point at the Matsapha Church of Christ. This vibrant congregation, who built their own church building with their own resources, is on a busy road in the industrial town of Matsapha. Under the leadership of Mbeki and Edith Mamba, they have made a great impact on this community by supplementing the food with their own vegetable garden, tutoring orphans and vulnerable children who had fallen behind in their school work and hosting a pre-school training workshop. About 100 children receive 2 meals per week at this care point. The Matsapha church building also has a secure room where the food for all the care points are kept until distributed.
